I have just arrived this mooring from Cuba. I spent last week in Trinidad and La Habana. Cuba is startling, a living museum on the verge of change. Narrow streets pulsate with fifties Chevvies alongside Russian Ladas while sidecars fill the gaps. Generous and kind people always willing to talk to you and help.
Cuba is modernizing and a lot of its character will disappear. There is nowhere in the world like this destination. I think Cuba is unique and should be recorded for posterity. I took hundreds of photographs I will show you as soon as I edit them. Now… welcome to the reality!

My first picture. Sancti Spíritus Road. By Arantxa Alcubierre.

Hundreds? You should say thousands…
I congratulate, what necessary words…, a magnificent idea
